We are heartbroken to tell you that on December 1, 2016 our cheeky Wellie crossed over the rainbow bridge.
Rescued from horrific circumstances and nursed back to health with care, medical treatment and many nights snuggled in blankets on the couch, Wellie grew to be a confident, naughty and loving little goat. As one of the biggest personalities at HAAH, Wellie was a goat who frequently tried to drive our buggy, had no problems jumping into stranger’s prams at our open days and who every day without fail insisted on sampling a little bit of everyone else’s dinner at feeds time just to make sure we were doing it right.
This WellieCam video that was shot at our September Open Day is the perfect example of how friendly, cheeky and loved little Wellie was. He was always right in the middle of all the action and greeted with smiling faces every where he went.
Wellie brought so much joy to everyone’s lives, filling our days with laughter, adventure and a little bit of stress! We’re struggling to come to terms with the fact that he’s gone, and we feel so honoured to have been part of his life. Rest in peace beautiful Wellington, Hart Acres won’t be the same without you.
Below are some photos of our short but sweet time with our boy Wellington.
